TOURIST ATTRACTIONS IN UGANDA
UGANDA being widely known as the PEARL OF AFRICA is blessed with massive wild life the general climatic conditions and the environment at large are a great asset in boasting the country’s tourism industry .This portrayed in different ways or forms for example birds, wild life, landscape, climatic conditions and many others varying from region to region. Uganda is composed of five regions that is the Northern, Eastern, southern, western and the Central each containing its own tourism sites which have been ideal to the regional economic development general economic development of the country at large .Different regions have different sites to adventure by different people basing on their interests as portrayed below;
Western part of the Uganda
is blessed with Queen Elizabeth National Park; this is located on the rift valley floor between lakes Edward and George in Kaborole Kamwenge districts of Uganda. The area has a jagged mass of mountains, mutumbe hills, a calm green escarpment and a large savanna between all the hills, mountains and lakes constantly repeated with the branched cactus arms of the candelabra euphorbia tree .The park is specifically located in Mweya village and a lot of activities like camping, bird watching can be enjoyed by the tourists. The place also habours animals like elephants, cape buffalos, Uganda kob, water buck, forest hog, lion, leopard and the hyena Queen Elizabeth National Park Uganda: The Park has a variability of Flora and Fauna and it’s acknowledged to be a habitat for over 95 mammal species with about 612 species of birds. The various species in this park, has made it a unique park most liked by tourists. Geographers will say that the park has around 57 vegetation but in actual sense, it has five levels of vegetation namely bushy grassland, Acacia woodland, Lakeshore or swamp vegetation along with forest grassland
The grasslands of the park settles wildlife such as Cape buffalo, Uganda kob, waterbuck, warthog, lion, leopard, hyena, giant forest hog as well as elephants.Topis can only be discovered in Ishasha and forest primate found in Kyambura gorge in addition to Maramagambo forest.
Africa has some protected areas. Therefore the park’s remarkable bird list that to exceed that of the neighboring Virunga National Park. Among these include African skimmer, Chapin’s flycatcher, Pink-backed pelicans, Papyrus canary, Shoebill stork, martial eagle, black-rumped buttonquail as well as the great flamingos.
Around the park

II Mweya peninsular which neighbors maramagambo is also an attractive site which overlooks the scenic lake katwe bay of Lake Edward which provides the park’s prime wildlife spectacles. Its shore line attracts a large number of reptile’s mammals and birds.
